KL-Lämpö produces monoethylene or monopropylene glycols which contain a corrosion inhibitor. These antifreeze and anticorrosive agents are called KK-INHIMEG and KK-INHIPROP. They protect heating, cooling, condensing and heat recovery systems effectively against freezing and corrosion.
They contain monoethylene or monopropylene glycol and a long-lasting corrosion inhibitor called KK-620. KK-620 does not contain any toxic nitrates.
We supply KK-INHIMEG and KK-INHIPROP antifreeze/anticorrosive agents in various concentrations depending on the desired frost resistance (25%, 30%, 35%, 40% and 45%).
Our experts are happy to help in selecting the right glycol type and concentration. The main differences between the two glycol types have to do with their heat transfer properties, environmental impacts and user-friendliness.
KL-Lämpö introduced the long-lasting corrosion inhibitor KK-620 in 1995. The product has been studied by the Technical Research Centre of Finland VTT. So far, KK-620 has been successfully used in thousands of applications, proving its reliability and high quality.
The glycol-based systems under the promenade in Jyväskylä (Central Finland) have been protected against corrosion and deposits with our KK-620 corrosion inhibitor. The systems have been functioning impeccably for about 15 years without any need for the replacement of glycol.
